Wonder Bag

Cara gave me this Wonderbag as it did not work for her. I have been interested in a slow cooker for a while, especially for my stews, so was willing to give it a try. Unfortunately, I did not have much success using it as a slow cooker, but it is worth its weight in gold for keeping food warm. It works especially well for letting curries and stews develop their flavours, without having to simmer on the stove and keep topping up fluids. It is also useful for rehydrating dried foods like rice and beans.

I use a silicon baking mat in the bag for when I put very hot pots into the bag.

My thoughts: definitely, not a slow cooker, however, does keep the food warm.
